Starter Sets
The easiest way to get started is with an Estes Ready to fly Starter set. Each set includes a Porta-Pad II launch pad, Electronic Beam launch controller and a full rocket, two in the case of the missile Command. All you need are rocket motors and AA batteries.
Build & Fly
If you want to build and fly your own rocket, then the best place to start is with one of the exciting range of Estes Launchables. They are easy to build, require no painting, come complete with instruction, colour decal sheet and can be flown over and over again. Each rocket has a different specification, requires different size motors, but all of them can be launched from the Porta-Pad II Launch Pad which can be purchased separately or will have been supplied with a Starter Set

Launching Equipment
The perfect launch pad for small to medium size rockets, the Porta Pad II, which is in the Starter Sets, features easy assembly and breakdown at the flying field - without the need for any tools. It's tilt adjustment feature allows directional control of the launch (upto 30 degrees from vertical) and includes a steel blast deflector plate. A two piece 3mm launch rod is included, but it can also use the optional, heavy duty 5mm rod which is available separately.
Wadding & Igniters
Flame resistent wadding is essential to protect your recovery system from hot ejection gases. Pack contains 75 sheets which is enough for about 25 flights. Replacement igniters are suitable for all Estes engine types. It's always good to keep a few spare! Used in conjunction with the igniter plugs, for the safest and most reliable ignition system available.
